Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele and Darren Criss of “Glee” Join Top Pro Surfers and Surf Enthusiasts at Billabong’s Annual Design For Humanity
Star surfers mixed with recording artists, members of the “Glee” cast and other TV shows, and a major outpouring of surf enthusiasts for a block party in support of the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation at Billabong’s always-spectacular annual Design for Humanity.
A veritable music festival, this year’s bash offered three stages and four bands, including Walk the Moon, Imagine Dragons, The Lumineers and The Joy Formidable. More musicians tucked into doorways and played between the buildings on the New York streets of Paramount Studios in Hollywood, where the July 25 event took place.
Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele and Darren Criss of “Glee” were also spotted venturing onto the backlot to enjoy Billabong’s hospitality. For the musical group, the festivities were an easy stroll from where taping had begun for Season 4.
Party-goers paid between $30 and $99 per ticket for Design for Humanity, with all proceeds from the art auction, ticket sales and other sources going to the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation, which is dedicated to creating a sustainable, healthful food future by supporting family farms, the environment and youth education programs.
