They didn’t make it when Kurt first came out to his dad—they didn’t make it like next thing Burt was doing was booking him on a gay cruise and sitting at home watching Bravo with him every night. It was like look I don’t—Can I say that I’m completely comfortable with this? No, cause I don’t know anything about it. But at the very, very core of our relationship is my love for you, and that’s a powerful thing, and I think what’s been so great about the show is that they’ve really shown that once Burt locked in on his love for his son and reminded himself of his love for his son that all the other stuff is just easy.
