As for the men, punk meant wearing something other than black. Eddie Redmayne wore a blue tuxedo from Dior with a skull print pocket square. Victor Cruz sported a blue smoking jacket from Lanvin. Tom Brady was also in a blue jacket although his was a very shiny pale blue. Pharell in Lanvin and Darren Criss in Richard Chai both wore tuxedos in plaid pattern.

Glee star and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award winner Darren Criss dropped by the Pasek and Paul show at Joe’s Pub for a surprise performance. Before taking the mic, Criss regaled the crowd with the bromantic story of his pre-Tony nomination day sleepover with his University of Michigan pal (and first time Tony nominee) Benj Pasek.
